Meet our Home Manager, Maxine

Maxine Killoch

We are delighted to announce that Maxine Kinnoch has been appointed as Home Manager for our brand-new luxury facility, Boclair Care Home, which will be opening its doors to welcome residents in Summer 2022.

Maxine brings a wealth of experience to her role having started her career in the care sector as a Care Assistant before achieving her ambition to become a Nurse. Maxine worked in the NHS for 27 years on the surgical wards and Emergency Receiving and then became a Ward Manager. She then had an involvement in Practice Development which led to the role of Caring and Compassionate Practice Nurse and developing this philosophy across the service. Maxine then made the transition to be a Care Home Manager in 2013 and has not looked back since. Maxine is now ready for her next exciting role of commissioning a brand new luxury care home.

When asked why Maxine works in care she responded with:

"Over the years I have found it very rewarding to help give others comfort, we can’t always prevent or stop health issue’s but we can help to ease them and find ways to live a fulfilled life and this is even more so as we get older. If either myself or a member of my team can help someone in any way, it offers such a sense of reward knowing that we have made a real difference to someone. I was born to care for others and there really is no greater privilege, I cannot imagine doing any other role."

Speaking about her ambitions for the new care home, Maxine said:

"This is a challenging but exciting time for care services and here at Boclair, I want to ensure that we help all residents and relatives with their transition to living at the home and that life can continue as before. I am delighted to build a team who have genuine care and empathy which will enable us to provide the very best in person-centred care, offering choices that are in the resident’s best interests whilst maintaining their dignity and respect. We will be assisting our residents to live life as they wish, offering a lifestyle filled with a wide variety of activities, an active social life and support available 24/7. Should care needs change the home is fully equipped to adapt to continue to meet the needs of our residents offering a continuum of care. My motto is ‘Strength for today, brighter hope for tomorrow’."
