Our First Christmas

This December, we really got into the festive spirit and set up Boclair Care Home ready for its very first Christmas, making it a very special one for both staff and residents who were excited to decorate the home and participate in a range of festivities.

Christmas Decorations

At Boclair Care Home, we recognise and support the importance of keeping traditions alive, whether that's at Christmas or another seasonal time throughout the year. We kept up traditions by decorating our home and putting Christmas trees up for our residents to admire.

This was a brilliant time for all, with residents putting their own unique additions to their decorations and it created a wonderful atmosphere within the home with everybody being able to appreciate their hard work at the end.

Christmas Buffet

One of the brilliant celebrations we hosted for our residents was a buffet. Our wonderful kitchen team prepared treats for our residents which were thoroughly enjoyed together, all whilst they discussed their favourite treats and how they used to prepare for Christmas in their youths and with their families.

There was a huge range of sweet treats to be enjoyed within the buffet including cupcakes, minced pies, gingerbread, quality street and more. Our residents really were spoilt for choice!

Singing, Dancing and Games With Loved Ones

Christmas is a time for family and friends, and we recognise this within our home so we were only too happy to welcome loved ones to join us in our festivities. This was a great opportunity to bring everybody together and there was lots of games and singing and dancing between residents, their loved ones and our team.

It was lovely for our residents to socialise and celebrate, as well as for their relatives who were able to join us. New memories were made by all, and ones that will not be forgotten.
